Hi everyone

I am trying to find out more information about my fathers para history. Is there a data base or web site or someone i can contact ? My father i believe was in 2 para from 1955 - 1959, he was posted to Cyprus during this time.
Are there any archives etc ?

Thanks

Steve

Whats the British Army's stance on bad teeth? I have crowns on my two front teeth because I broke them, a damaged ligament in one of my bottom front teeth and apparently my wisdom teeth are/were compressed.

I dislocated both my shoulders almost 3 years ago and I have had no surgery on them. If i was to have a bilateral shoulder reconstruction would I be able to join the Parachute Regiment, albeit the British Army?

Cheers

ive got selection at the end of august (after being defered for a heart mermer but i got tested and im fine now) but at the moment my 1.5 mile run time isnt up to scratch, im only making it in about 10m 15s. all the other entry requirments are fine, just the run. i train 3-4 times a week at the gym and a track.

could anyone give me some tips to help me get faster as i dont want to be deferd again for up to 4 months...

thanks

yeah Oldham hume, their the para reg in manchester. We too did some work with them in nesscliffe funnily enough. but it was only their senior NCO's so they were quite good from what i saw. Idiotic officers though, didn't seem to know much!
